This five-day course provides students with a solid foundation of the activities, processes, leadership elements and the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to function within the framework of a Type 3 AHIMT deployed to an incident or planned event. This course is designed for personnel who are assigned to function in a Type 3 IMT during a large/complex incident, typically extending into the second operational period. The overall goal of USFA's Incident Management Team (IMT) program is to develop state and regional IMTs to function under the National Incident Management System (NIMS) during a large and/or complex incident or a major event. This program is designed for an individual who will be active on a Type 3 All Hazards IMT Team and not a basic Incident Command Program. This course meets the needs of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Framework (NRF)
